Hodge, a more affordable option than free-agent linebacker LaVar Arrington to replace outside linebacker Junior Seau, agreed to a two-year deal worth $2 million with up to $1 million in incentives each year (based on playing time). Hodge, who was drafted in the third round by Dolphins General Manager Randy Mueller when he was the Saints GM in 2001, had a career-high 74 tackles in 2002, and notched 51 tackles last season. He has just one career sack. Goodman, 27, agreed to a three-year deal worth approximately $5 million, with the potential to earn $2.5 million in incentives. Known for being solid in run support, Goodman, a four-year veteran, had a career-high 47 tackles and three interceptions in eight starts last season.http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/sfl-031...la-sports-front</div>About time they signed someone<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dolphins | Shelton signedMon, 13 Mar 2006 09:16:01 -0800MiamiDolphins.com reports the Miami Dolphins have signed free-agent OT L.J. Re: Dolphins Sign LB Sedric Hodge & CB Andre Goodman & OT L.J. Shelton That LB Hodge is very fast and Goodman is too. Shelton boots there O-line. Some pretty good pick ups.
Re: Dolphins Sign LB Sedric Hodge & CB Andre Goodman & OT L.J. Shelton Andre Goodman is coming off his best season. He had 47 tackles and 3 pics and he only started 8 games. However, the Fins still don't have a #1 cornerback. Goodman will probably be their nickleback, unless they never get a premiere corner.LJ Shelton is a good pick up too.
