Charles Rogers is still seeking work. The first week of the NFL season has passed, and no one is jumping to sign him.

September 12, PalmBeachPost.com: The Dolphins worked out former Detroit Lions wide receiver Charles Rogers on Tuesday, according to a league source.

Rogers, who arrived in South Florida on Monday night, was released on Sept. 2 ? just three years after he was the second overall pick in the 2003 draft.

It is not known whether the Dolphins offered Rogers, who has not been worked out by any other team, a contract.

I read somewhere that Tampa worked out Rogers shortly after was released but was not offered a contract.

Maybe the problem in Detroit isn't Millen? Could It the players and/or the previous coaching staffs?

Nah!!!! Who am I kidding? Millen is as culpable as everyone else in the Lions franchise.

So, are we supposed to be ashamed because the Lions don't know what to do with Top 10 draft choices? I'm not going to be held responsible because Matt Millen is an idiot. I'm sure Saben will evaluate Rogers and give him a deal more suitable to his talent.

I think this would be a great move for the dolphins, or any team for that matter in the market for a reciever. rogers is a talented younger player and would be an asset to most any team...i would want the jets to get him i just dont think hed really fit in there..good luck although your in the division with us and our main rival i hope you pull him in

He has talent and maybe a change is what he needs but the guy has character issues and the guy is said to be very lazy. It'll take a lot of good coaching to get anything productive out of him and he might not be worth the time.
