If the Knicks want to win, they need to get an NBA PG. I know they have Frank Willimas and there's the possibility of Milos Vujanic from Europe(who they drafted but has stayed in Europe) may become good PG's but in NYC, the fans expect nothing but winning and the Knicks withoput a true PG will not win.
It'd be great to see the Knicks start winning. As far as New York fans go there wouldn't be many people they would go crazy over. Mr. Coney Island, Kidd...um...anyone else? It's a basketball city and they deserve better than they have.
