<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>QUOTE Imus: "My position on all of this is not whining about the hideously hypocritical coverage from the newspapers -- from everybody -- or the lack of support, say, from people like Harold Ford, Jr. who I had my life threatened over supporting and all these kind of things. It all began, and it doesn't make any difference -- like [James] Carville said -- stop talking about the context, it doesn't make any difference. If I hadn't have said it I wouldn't be here. So let's stop whining about it...You gotta stop complaining. I said a stupid, idiotic thing that desperately hurt these kids. I'm going to apologize but we gotta move on."</div>http://drudgereport.com/flash3im.htmIMUS: 'WHEN WILL SHARPTON APOLOGIZE TO DUKE PLAYERS?' Take it to them Don! Woooo! Rutgers is using this as a recruiting tool. Did you see the Rutgers coach on TV? She rambled on for 30 minutes about irrelevent crap. Rutgers is exploiting this issue for an advantage, makes me sick. I think our team needs some firepower.

We need redneck, hes a beast. She is using this as a recruiting tool though, as is the entire school. Since when do schools come out and hold PRESS CONFERENCES to express their dismay at comments. I could understand a released statement, but not a press conference. That is just asking for it IMO.

And if you listened to the Al Sharpton show. All of these so-called "civil rights activists" were saying, I don't even know Don Imus personally, I've never met the man, I've never even listened to his show, but he is abomonal and he should be fired.Way to be informed leaders of the people [IMG] And they're calling for him to be fired. Yet Imus uses his show as a platform for sickle cell anemia funding support. The guy owns facilities in Texas that helps out kids with sickle cell anemia and an overwhelming amount of kids there are African-Americans. And by calling for his firing you would be eliminating all the help Imus gives to the African American Community civil leader Al Sharpton. Al Sharpton is a f*cking clown. The guy claims James Brown as being one of his biggest motivators while Brown was being prosecuted for beating his wife, he was on drugs....I could go on and on. It makes me sick. The political correctness in this country is getting insanely out of hand. While Imus was being attacked on Sharpton's show, Imus said "geez I can't get anywhere with you people" and Sharpton fires back going "you people! what do you mean you people?!" trying to imply that Imus was making a racially driven comment. Absolute horse sh*t. Like you guys said this whole issue is ridiculous. Rutgers is using this as a ploy for recruitment. It's absolutely ridiculous.I'm starting a Support Don Imus club in my sig by the way. I'll add BCB and L__C to it.

David Chappelle owes us all an apology, as does Chris Rock. He called me a cracker, I was offended.

Black people are way too sensative. They call themselves sh*t all the time, but if someone else calls them it, they cry to their priests..

    Re: Don Imus fighting back!

Obama probably just said that so he doesn't lose African American votes, but I listen to WFAN and radio show in the NY area. Mike and the Mad Dog know Imus they been working under the same roof for like 20 years, and they received calls from even black people that support Imus. I think the majority of African Americans don't like AL Sharpton because Sharpton tries to speak for them. I think real black leaders just as Martin Luther King JR if he was still here would be mad at Imus's comments but he would end up forgiving them.

I think the players just wanted it to end but everyone else kept bringing it up.

The Rutgers coaches and AD aren't making them talk on the show. I wouldn't say sh*t if they made me go on Oprah.

    Re: Don Imus fighting back!

What I hate is that a lot of African Americans are hypercrites. I think we all agree that Imus shouldnt of said that on air, but for crying out loud, I bet that every single one of those girls listens to rap music on a daily basis where black rappers call girls hoes and sh*t like that all the time. They certainly dont find that offensive. Its quite alright for them to call eachother that, but they cant forgive a white guy who has apoligized. In return other "black leaders" are calling for his job and want the man fired. Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are a disgrace to the civil rights leaders of the 50's and 60's. Malcomn X and Martin Luther King Jr. certainly wouldnt be dealing with these kind of situations like this. If anything, all Sharpton and Jackson do is escalate the situation and make it worse. I hate how they can all white people everything under the sun and get no one finds that wrong or offensive. I'm tired of them using the "slavery" card on everything. That was over 100 years ago in the United States and yet they still use that as an excuse. Al Sharpton hasnt any kind of "slave" work in his entire life and never will. I'm not saying that racism isnt still around, but people like Sharpton just build it up even more. He actaully works against what King did for America. He's making us go in a negative direction. I personally dont think that Imus is racist or anything. He just made a mistake. Everyone has made a comment like that at some point in thier life, they just usually dont do it on thier radio show.
