At least three ownership groups, including Buffalo Sabres owners Terry and Kim Pegula, submitted formal bids to buy the Buffalo Bills on Monday. A prospective candidate could be identified by the end of the week. Four people familiar with discussions revealed that information to The Associated Press. They spoke on the condition of anonymity because the sale is being conducted privately. The other groups submitting bids were led by New York City real estate mogul Donald Trump, and a Toronto group led by rocker Jon Bon Jovi. The bids were submitted to Morgan Stanley, the banking firm overseeing the sale process on behalf of late owner Ralph Wilson's estate. It's unclear if another group has entered the bidding process over the past few weeks. The Bills are on the market after Wilson, the Hall of Fame inductee and franchise founder, died in March.
