Shaun Alexander and Edgerrin James would most likely help Arizonas run game quick and that's what Kurt Warner needs.

But why take a risk on a rookie when you can get a player you KNOW is a star. There's always a chance of a bust.

Yea... but it's better to have guaranteed success for a price than to be 32nd in rushing for a discount.

Well.. I mean.. how about this.. they draft a rookie.... lets say Deangelo.. and they actualy invest IN OL through FA.. how about that?.. sure rookie RB is never a sure hit, but come on,, with an upgraded OL that would help the Passing game as well.. the rookie RB could do some real damage.. Althought this could work vice versa.. gettin OL in draft and signing RB... but its more money.. and we all know cardinals are cheap.. the clippers of NFL

Cant believe the Cards might be drafting a RB in round 1 after they just drafted Arrington in the 2nd round last year... losers.

Say the Cards really like how LenDale, or D.Will grade out, they take them in the 1st round and if they turn out to be solid RBs for them, they have a young guy with fresh new legs to work with for the next couple of years and without breaking the bank on SA, or Edge. Although the downside there is the "bust" factor.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Cant believe the Cards might be drafting a RB in round 1 after they just drafted Arrington in the 2nd round last year... losers.</div>Although it might be too early to give up on Arrington quite yet, he had to run behind a pretty bad line. The general impression I'm getting is that they don't like Arrington's style and that he danced around at the line too much, and ran too tentative to avoid being hit. Which is why they might go RB gain early in this draft.

There is mostly a great deal between a 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder. Not to mention Arrington doesn't fill the position they need at RB. Besides they split time with him and even then their still 32nd in the league in rushing. By any means though it would be pointless to take in a Shaun Alexander or Edge because their getting old. At the ages of 29 and 28 they aren't too young anymore and that is going to affect a teams outcome on who they will take. Their better of going with a RB considering there is so many young and amazing RB waiting to be drafted. LenDale White would be a much more effective runner than a little guy like Arrington who doesn't even know how to use his talent to move the ball. His rushing avg is like 2.2 a carry. They need a RB because they already spent a great deal on a crashing Warner and they have 2 of the best recievers in the NFL (which may even be the best pair of WRs in the NFL). A RB is a must fill position.
