"Now that the Raiders have officially sold out Sunday's tilt with the Chiefs, we're going to let you in on a little secret: Nnamdi Asomugha and Zach Miller aren't playing.

Well, it's not official that two of Oakland's best players are out - Raiders coach Tom Cable listed his Pro Bowl cornerback and leading receiver as "doubtful" - but the essential information came later in Friday's interview session.

You see, Asomugha and Miller haven't practiced all week. Asomugha didn't put weight on his sprained ankle until Wednesday, and Cable was asked Friday if Asomugha had been able to run yet.

    "No," he said.

How about Miller, who has a sore arch?

    "No."

Cable said both players will try to "work out Sunday morning and (he'll) make a decision at that point." Cable doesn't want to tip his hand for opposing coaches, but Kansas City coach Todd Haley knows the Raiders have a bye next week."
