Detroit on the wrong end of the score card again. Three former Cy Young pitchers starting playoff games with their team swept out of the series.
________________________________ Interesting...I think we may have seen a preview when the Yanks played Detroit in a 4 game series this year and the Tigers had their 3 "Cy Young" pitchers going in that series. The Yanks took 3/4. It warms the cockles of my heart to see the Tigers go DOWN.
Yep but that was regular season. Think I can't figure out is that Detroits GM is a pretty sharp cookie who did not miss the boat on bullpen help it was just never built.
Got to admit that I didn't see this coming. I really thought the Tigers would have put up a tougher fight then this.
Looks like Torii Hunter is going to not realize his dream of playing in a World Series again this year.

Nelson "Doper" Cruz Baltimores hitting hero today, unknown hitting into DP to end the game, old Buck Owens Tune "I've got a Tiger By The Tail" last into playoffs, first out.
Just heard on MLB that 3 Cy Young winners were beaten in the '98 series Braves vs Padres Glavine, Maddux, & Smoltz.
giants have two cy young winners(timmy, peavy), and had another last year (zito) dodgers have 2 (grienke, kershaw) if either of them picked up bartolo colon, cliff lee, ra dickey, or brandon webb and had 3 cy youngs, it wouldnt really mean much... because i think the real trick is the tigers have the LAST 3 CONSECUTIVE AL cy young winners. and they lost 1-2-3
Of course it wouldn't mean much if anything at all, since those Pitcher's aforementioned are WASHED UP.....!!! Now if you want to add King Felix to the Bums mix, then we got a worthy convo...!
