I have read two reports straight from the Magic website and one from the Tampa Tribune and they all say we are desperate for a point guard and need to draft Raymond Felton. I have no idea what these reporters are talking about. Are they watching the same Orlando Magic team that had PG's at both guard spots?! I'm getting pretty mad and the Magic better not pick Felton or any point guard for that matter.

    Here are the reports:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Unless they can make a trade heading into tonight's NBA draft, the Magic likely will select a player for a position they already have filled.

The Magic might deal anybody not named Dwight Howard to grab a point guard or a big man.

But with no trade partner in sight, there likely won't be any players available at No. 11 who fit the Magic's needs, leaving a whole lot of what they have on their roster: shooting guards and small forwards.

Barring something dramatic happening that trickles down to Orlando -- such as center Channing Frye or point guard Raymond Felton dropping -- "you're going to be duplicating talent," Director of Player Development Otis Smith said.</div>

Jameer Nelson is our future point guard! Let's keep it that way and actually pick someone who can help the team! [IMG] [IMG]

I don't understand the logic behind this move. Jameer is the point guard of the future and the Magic got a real steal in the draft. Maybe this is just to scare off other teams or something. The Magic won't do this; they can't do it.

Yeah I hope this is just a smokescreen. If the Magic do select a PG I will not be a happy guy. [IMG]

I seriously think all these people taklking pg know NOTHING about our organization, they don't want to move Francis to 2 for the hell of it, the only reason they're even considering it is because they KNOW that Jameer is a potential starter in this league, a potential future All-star IMO if he gets enough assists to dwight, who is definately a future all star, I think Dwight can be Jameer's mailman.

Yeah I think some of the guys here at JBB need to be the Magic writers, not these losers. They need to stick to some other sport because they obviously don't know the Magic.

The Magic organization has been known to treasure the tall PG, so honestly these guys probably do know what they are talking about and will draft the tall PG. It seems kinda stupid to me, cause I want a SG who can shoot, Francis isn't really that great of a shooter. Jameer's best option is the bench, we would utilize him the same way that we did Darrell Armstrong, give him plenty of mins off the bench and he will be a 6th man candidate. We will be the exact opposite of last year, when the bench comes out we gain 8-10 pts on other teams instead of lose 8-10 pts.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that with the Magic's organization and previous history of the draft, I really wouldn't be surprised to see us draft a tall PG. My prediction is that we reach on Jarrett Jack, when Wright and/or Webster are still available.

I think they are trying to create a smoke screen to confuse other teams about there pick. Either way if we remain at the number 11 selection Felton will not be there he will not get past the Lakers at 10, and if we trade up to nine or something possibly if Wright or Webster (unlikely) is still there we should take one of them. I guess we will have to wait until tonight speculation will be over tonight so we wont have to worry or think about this for long.

When they measured the players Felton was shorter than Chris Paul by quarter inch so he is basically the same size as Jammer Nelson.
