Does anyone know about what's gonna happen with Donyell? I'd hate to loose a player of his caliber because he is so multidimentional, he has a 3, gets his share of dunks, really cleans the boards for a player of his size 6'9 235, blocks shots with his long arms and good positional defence. He is also a proffesional who plays hard and doesn't let off the court distractions interfere with his game. Im sure teams will be looking for a player like him. Imagine the heat with Donyell...

I hope the bulls or the heat get him. He would be a great addition to either team.

I hope the heat get him, because the only way Toronto can keep him is by over-paying him and I don't want that. I think Donyell is a genuinely good guy, so I want to see him do well in the NBA and I think he would be an excellent addition to the miami heat as their possible 6th man and he usually fits in seamlessly into any offense as he doesn't demand shots and plays hard defense.

Yell -> Heat for MLE I hope

Donyell is gone. I would also like to see him go to the Heat and try to help Miami win a championship.

I remember Marshall saying that he would like to play for his hometown Philadelphia. I am really hoping the 76ers land him; he could definitely play a role for them that they are missing.

That'll be nice for him to finish his career at his hometown, but with plenty of shooters like Willie Green, Allen Iverson, Kyle Korver, Rodney Rogers and John Salmons I see his playing time greatly reduced; he wouldn't want that. He might want a ring before he retires so the most realistic bet would be the Heat.

Actually Donyell Marshall could play backup power forward just like he did with the Raptors I think. He played sixth man in Toronto he can do it in Philadelphia to. Just because the 76ers have scorers that doesn't mean he can't play an effective role. They need him because they need scorers/size off the bench.

Donyell Marshall is as good as gone this season. He is more than likely going to sign with a contender this offseason. The Heat have been rumored to be interested in him so that might be one of the places he?s going. I always loved his game because he was always solid and did what needed to be done.

With Bosh developing, it?s not fair for a deserving player his age to sit back and play a small role. He should go to a team that?s going to utilize him more. This won?t be too bad for Toronto, they do have Matt Bonner and Pape Sow so they should be in good hands.

Id rather have Donyell than the money tho, the Raptors need to spend some money on established players to get back into it.

I want Donyell, but there are very slim chances we get him. He said (If I remember correctly) thathe wouldn't mind playing for OTornto again, and liekd it here, but was waiting out Free Agency. He is pretty much gone, but I would like a sign and trade.

Will be another case of loosing a player who made a huge impact on the team like McGrady, Clarke and Lenard in years past.

I hope the Heat land him, he could be a valuable 6 man or if Haslem decides to leave he will be the starter.

No not over Haslem, Haslem and Marshall are totally different players. Udonis is a young defensive player who will take the charges when he needs to, and will do whatever it takes to win. Marshall is older, he is a perimiter player who takes a lot of shots. The one they need to replace is Damon Jones.

Er... I think you mistook Marshall for Rose. Rose is the one who used to take a lot of shots and I bet you anything that Marshall will start over Haslem, especially considering that Alonzo Mourning wants a significant role in the team. If Marshall becomes the 6th man, Mourning will pout and retire citing the lack of playing time as the reason. Why would you want to replace Damon Jones? His clutch shooting was part of the reason that the Heat made it to the conference finals. [IMG]

BEcause he will most likely opt out of his contract to cash in somwhere else. I don't care if Marshall starts or not I just don't see him fitting very well for the Heat.

that would be good.. because he can score and he can shoot the 3s and same with korver .. but it would be also nice if the heat got him..

If he was the 6th man for the Sixers, then he would be a good fit because he can rebound, defend a little and shoot alot (which he likes) off Iversons penetration. However, he'll be a much better fit in Miami. As a Heat, he'll get the ball A LOT with the double/triple teams Shaq gets, and the double team/attraction Wade gets when he drives.
