We 100% need another guard, once we dump MW and waive Ager. Lets say we can work out a S&T.(Orlando and NO can both use a big) Im not sure how well Pargo would work w/ Harris. However, I do think Dooling would work well w/ Carter and Harris and would garner more minutes b/c of that. Both should be asking for about the same. They had very similar stats, one thing is Dooling was much more efficient (47% to Pargos 39%). dooling is better than Pargo but Dooling is going to be a little more expensive than Pargo. Either one is fine IMO. Hopefully we'll get one. Rush can't play the point and if we dump Marvin we'l need a back up point
Forget the stats, Dooling is worlds better than Pargo. Pargo is way overvalued right now because of all the time he got for the Hornets in the playoffs. He is a small, one-dimensional scorer and instant offense off the bench. He'll get at least five times what Jaycee Carroll will, and he's just not worth that. Dooling is a perfect fit for the Nets. He was used a lot of different ways by the Magic because of all the trials they've had with their backcourt, but he did every job they had for him with aplomb. He's coming off his best season and will cost money, but it's much better spent on what he gives because he can do a lot more things than Pargo. No matter what the Nets eventually become (and nobody knows that right now), he'll fit. He can play the point, guard ones through threes very well, and even gives some scoring. He's a total pro. The Nets have been trying to get him for a long time.
I wouldn't mind signing Jaycee Carroll instead of any of those guys. He'll be much cheaper and do the same things as they do. He doesn't have the experience but I think he's already 24.

I like either Dooling or Pargo. I dont have a favorite, i guess because Dooling has the better FG% i would like him better. I love Rush! If we could somehow afford to get him along with either Pargo or Dooling that would be awesome!

He's a good, cheap alternative to Pargo, but he's way too small to play the kind of defense Dooling plays.

Dooling is the man. He's a great basketball player. Great defender, great mid-range shooter, great speed, from what I've seen great professionalism. Everything about him is great. He's even entertaining as hell. If we got him, I might just cream in my pants.
Dooling was overpaid in his last contract. Now the Nets have to convince him to take $5 million over two years with maybe a third year partially guaranteed. Cant see that working.
I look at the stats of Dooling and i see words like great associated with that..?! Now if you want to say Dooling is great, well maybe in a different context other than basketball. Like he was a great friend, or he was great with little puppies, or he had a great desire to eat ice cream. But to mix great and those numbers posted above, well i just don't get it. Maybe he was a great cheerleader while he was on the bench. Maybe he was great while he swirled his towel around his head while the starters were doing great on the court. I've seen some great players and he ain't no great player.....If at best he's an ordinary bench player looking for more money than he deserves. Maybe thats why he's still unsigned while the better and great players got signed right after the signing date. Great!!!! come on...

He was the Magic's best perimeter defender and they were a very good defensive team. He would be a great addition to the Nets' bench.
after leaving us at the alter a few years back, i hope thorn never signs this guy. Now this guy reeks of average.... NO THANK YOU!!! oh yeah, go nets!!!!

They have Harris. A back-up is all they need.
they already have a back up in Marcus Williams who has better stats. If your going to get rid of Marcus, and bring in another back up shouldn't that new back up be better than the old back up. I want a backup to replace Marcus only if they are better , and are capible of playing starting minutes whenever the nets need him. Dooling is average at best. no thank you also: Marcus has mush more upside than Dooling. I think we've seen all we going to see from Dooling.
