Overton, a Philadelphia native, will focus on off-court player development and help assist players with post-NBA goals. Overton also will be involved with numerous community outreach efforts on behalf of the team. An 11-year NBA veteran point guard, Overton averaged 4.5 points, 2.1 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 499 career games. Originally picked in the second round (40th overall) by the Detroit Pistons in the 1991 NBA draft, Overton played for eight teams. Overton starred at Dobbins Tech (Philadelphia) in high school and went on to play four years at La Salle (1987-91). </div> Source
