Jump to about the 56 minute mark and you'll see his add & speech... http://www.caintv.com/here-it-is-dr.ben-carsons-comp I'll say this... it would be nice to see a fresh face
Listened to it on delivery, the man is sharp as a tack, got some good savy and is not particularly fond of the current occupant of the White House. If he could get married up on a good ticket he could possibly pull it off.
Sorry, he's a nice man and he's got a good heart and great intentions. But we need a leader with experience in managing an unworldly govt and someone with serious international and military chops to deal with Russia, China and their proxies NK and Iran. All three legs of our nuclear triad need major upgrading, including a replacement for the Ohio class sub and new stealth bomber generation. Israel and Japan/SK are facing strong regional aggression. Our military has been alarmingly downsized both in troop levels and equipment (tanks, ships, etc). The world is being too dangerous to hand the most complex management position to the least qualified person because of race or gender. Clinton and W at least had been governors with DC connections. You have to know the enemy to defeat it, works for Washington as well as radical Islam.
Don't get me started. I'm OK with background checks when everyone (a) provides proof of ID/citizenship when voting and (b) receiving any govt subsidy. Quid pro quo.
Waiting for Walker and Perry from the Gov category. Still would like a hybrid of Cruz/Paul/Rubio. Carly Fiorina as the VP on any Republican ticket. She's smart, tough and principled.
...yeah, heard that earlier...I hope the Reps can at least offer a suitable challenger to the Dems this time...because they certainly have not lately.
Huckabee is announcing right now, if I were Hillary Clinton I'd be aware of some stiff competition. In the end I think the Republicans must ally their two best people to accept the Presidency and the Vice Presidency positions that will best favor the country.
...^^^ speaking of Hillary "hips" Clinton, I saw where one of her "opponents" ( Carly Fiorina) has already started slinging mud at Hillary concerning the email and Ben Ghazi fiascos...I love a good "cat fight".
...Huckabee was smart not to run last time...his time spent on his TV show helps him because of the exposure he received and hearing ideas from others. ...I gotta believe he's one of the front runners...him and Ryan?
Ryan is sitting out this time around. He's chairing the RNC effort to organize and run the campaign machine transition from primary to general election. Front runner varies by poll.
I like Carson, Cruz, & Huckabee at this point. I'd like to see a President & Vice President who agree on issues with enough differences to balance each other out. I don't know much about Fiorina but will listen to her ideas as the campaigns go into gear. I don't want to see another ignorant liberal democrat get in there, I want a conservative team who love this land and want the best for its citizens.
