    VITALS: 6-10, 226, Iowa St

OVERVIEW: Vroman earned All-Big 12 Third Team honors this season after averaging 13.9 points and a league-leading 9.6 rebounds per game. He finished his career second in Iowa State history in field-goal percentage (.558) and ninth in blocked shots (70), despite playing just two seasons. Vroman played at Snow Community College in Utah for his freshman and sophomore campaigns.

LIKELY DRAFT POSITION: Vroman burst onto the NBA radar with his strong play at Portsmouth and a quality follow-up performance at Chicago, which probably secured him a spot in the second round. At Portsmouth, he averaged 19.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game and was named to the All-Consolation Team. At Chicago, his norms were 14.3 and 5.7.

    COMPARATIVE UPSIDE: Dan Gadzuric

    COMPARATIVE DOWNSIDE: Chris Anstey

    ROLE PROJECTION: Reserve

POSITIVES: At only 220 pounds, Vroman is slimmer than most of his counterparts in the paint. He uses that discrepancy to his advantage, beating defenders down the floor as he is lighter on his feet. Despite his lack of bulk, Vroman is also a solid rebounder. He will not win any high jump competitions, but he can get off the floor on the second and third hop and is willing to compete in traffic.

SHORTCOMINGS: Vroman may not have the height to play center, which would bring down his value considerably. There are also obvious questions about his strength given his build, and whether he can establish and hold position in the lane; a number of NBA opponents will make Vroman look like a rag doll. In terms of his polish, Vroman's skills are average. He never dominated at Iowa State, where the level of competition pales in comparison to what he will see in the NBA.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "Vroman outworks his opponent and is able to make something positive happen for his team. He runs the floor extremely well for a guy his size and isn't shy about sticking his nose in a crowd. He doesn't try to play beyond his limits on offense, getting points with hustle and a good nose for the ball." - NBA draft guide editor Rob Reheuser
