If we do keep our pick, which I assume we will. Who should we go after, and who do you hope we get?

I want Al Horford personally, but I don't think he will be around. I think that Al and KG would work great together with the big bad wolf coming off the bench. I really don't think we need anymore guards until we get rid of the usless ones we have now (James, Jaric, Hudson, even Davis a little). Also, if Conley is there maybe we can trade him to protland for something

Yeah, Horford's out of reach. Atlanta's actually considering him at #3, and if that's not where he ends up, then it's all but a lock Memphis takes him, partly because he recently measured taller and stronger than expected at the draft combine.

I think the Timberwolves are in a great position to get one of the greatest steals of the draft in Spencer Hawes though. There's not a lot of buzz surrounding him now for whatever reason, but the fact of the matter is that he's the most skilled offensive post player in the entire draft, which is saying a lot considering the type of talent that's in this year's pool. He's a legitimate 7'0", really bulky, and establishes his position on the block better than every prospect except for Oden. Isn't that exactly what the Timberwolves are looking for?

I've heard Spencer Hawes being compared to Brad Miller. I'm not exactly sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing? [IMG]

btw, nice to see you again FreshPrince

Why wouldn't that be a good thing? Miller's still one of the top centers in the league, as far as I'm concerned.

I think that comparison's off anyway. I see Hawes as a Tim Duncan type player. Obviously he's not on Timmy D's level, but he's a player in the same mold, especially on offense. His defense is still a work in project (cut him some slack - he's only 19), but offensively, he's got the type of post moves and footwork that I remember Duncan showing at the same age. He's really being slept on because of how top heavy this draft is, but shape and I were talking on AIM the other day and agreed that if this guy were to pull his name out, he'd have a chance to challenge for the top overall pick next season.

Haha, yeah thanks Brian. I have been really hoping that the wolves get spencer hawes actually. From what i've seen he is the big bruiser that Kg has needed his entire career. Too bad he wasn't here 5 years ago. He also has some pretty sharp offensive skills to go with his hustle and intensity on the defensive end.

I really hope we don't get a guard with all this big man talent in the draft. We DO NOT need a guard in this draft imo. Foye is the real deal. As long as we don't get conley, again very unlikely, or Joakim I think i'll be pleased with who we get.
