Re: Dream.6 Should be a fantastic night of fights. The remaining four middleweights make for three compelling fights no matter who advances. I expect to see de Souza and Mousasi in the finals, both having submitted their semi-final opponents. Mousasi is probably the favourite to win the tournament since de Souza's striking is atrocious and Mousasi is clever enough to avoid being taken down. Cro Cop vs. Overeem is a fight long in the making. Overeem is a good but not great fighter who will stand with Cro Cop. Expect this one to end via KO. Local heroes Mach Sakurai and Shinya Aoki have been handed giftwrapped opponents, as is the Japanese custom it seems. Much reviled middleweight Yoshihiro Akiyama is also on the card against a weak opponent, possibly to make amends for not including him in the middleweight tournament. Russian Sambo and kickboxing fighter Sergei Kharitonov, a year removed from his last bout (a knockout victory against Overeem), returns to MMA against a late replacement for K-1 veteran Mighty Mo in Jimmy Ambriz. A 300-lbs plus fighter from Huntington Beach, California, Ambriz once fought to a draw with Ron "H20" Waterman but is otherwise noted for being shark bait, having losses to Jermome LeBanner, Josh Barnett, and Ricco Rodriguez.
Re: Dream.6 I'm actually anxious for the Dream.6 card, I want to see the Manhoef vs Mousasi fight for one. ManHoef is a beast standing up, but I believe Mousasi is the most rounded fighter left. It looks like they gave Jacare an easy match. Because of this and how difficult it will be for either Manhoef or Mousasi to win, I thikn Jacare can win it all. Personally that wouldn't make him a top ten MW, but rather fortunate more than anything else. Cro-Cop vs Overeem is interesting too because I wonder if Cro-Cop returns to form, or if being a HW suits Overeem and his conditioning issues better. getting a chance to see Aoki, Mach, Akiyama, the entertainment that is Minowaman and (the shell of) Sakuraba is an added bonus too

Mirko Filipovic, for the second fight in a row, is kneed in the groin. This time his trainers complain that his testicle has been pushed up into his abdomen (!) and he can't continue. The fight, somehow, is ruled a no contest, though Overeem had low-blowed Filipovic at least three times during the bout. Hironaka took Sakurai to a decision but otherwise there were no alarms and no surprises in the results.
Re: Dream.6 [Results] Dong Sik Yoon losing to Nakahara and his 0-1 record was an upset IMO. Yoon has lost to guys like Sakuraba, Rampage, Mousasi, Bustamante. I thought his experience would make this an easy win.
