http://www.whittierdailynews.com/sports/ci_14053637 Drew was dominating before Pau came back, putting up 20/10 in sleep. With Pau back, his numbers have definitely dipped, and his play has dipped in recent games due to foul trouble and his illness. I was confident he was gonna be an allstar earlier on in the season, but I'm not so sure now.
I think this is when Kobe needs to pull him aside and have a talk with him about waiting his turn to shine, about locking down the D like we know he can, and about waiting to burst onto the Lakers' scene as the primary offensive threat. I don't think Drew fully grasps and believes that he can contribute to this team with defense first mentality. Every young player loves offense, and Drew is no different. Kobe needs to tell the big fella that one day, his time as a primary offensive threat will come. I still think we should be working to get him shots, though. He was getting shots against OKC, he just couldn't convert. His D was nice that game, though.
