O.K., If necsessity is the mother of invention then lets invent the Cowboys the ideal quarterback, we need one in the worst way. Qualities for this quarterback can be borrowed from any other NFL quarterback, past or present, and you must explain the reasoning behind your selections. Rank the qualities you choose 1 through how ever many you like with 1 being the most important quality, in your opinion. I'll start: 1. Leadership - Roger Staubach - his teamates never douted that Roger would somehow win the game and it rubbed off on them and they believed they could win. 2. Intelligence - Roger Staubach - A graduate of the Naval Academy, not many unintelligent people graduate from there so he was able to be taught. 3. Athleticism - Roger Staubach - They didnt call him Roger The Dodger for nothing! 4. Courage - Roger Staubach - Never ending concussions, broken fingers, broken collarbones, you name it and Roger had it broken at one time or another. Never shied away from contact. 5. Perseverence - Roger Staubach - Give up? Give up? Yea right, not gonna happen. Broken bones? Only 5 seconds on the clock? NO PROBLEM!! 6. Arm Strength - Roger Staubach - He could throw any type of pass, long, short, thread the needle, quick out, screen, name it he could throw it. Hell!! I'm gonna stop here because I have solved our problem and found the qualities of the perfect QB!! What we need is to find another Roger Staubach!! Thats all! C'mon! How hard could that be in this day and time?!! Oh well, back to the real world. DISCLAIMER: Yes, I know I chose Roger Staubach each time, I DID IT ON PURPOSE. It is after all JUST MY OPINION. Courage=Kosar (Got beat up every week early in his career) Preserverence=Elway (ugh!-But he found a way to win) Arm Strength=Favre (88 magnum arm...throws through schools) Accuracy=Aikman (numbers back up his penchance for being accurate)
