okay, so its the tale of two strikers, Drogba is absolutely hammering them in from anywhere on the pitch, whereas Shevva doesn't seem to be able to hit a cows backside with a banjo. BUT... I think they are starting to develop a partnership, and this can only be good for both players games! Another important factor this season has been the lack of a certain Mr. J. Cole. I really do believe he is the kind of guy that can make Shevchenko play the football he likes. Thoughts?
It's not all about goals. Listen to what Drogba says about Shevchenko regarding the space that Sheva's runs provide for him. Shevchenko is a great player and that has been proven in recent games. Hopefully he'll go on to prove that even more in the league and CL over the coming weeks.
Sheva's a much more proven goalscorer who simply can't quite find his footing in new surroundings. Don't forget while at Milan he felt a special bound or duty towards them for everything they had done for him. At chelsea he no longer has that motivation (and perhaps the £30m price tag is offputting) That's not to say Drogba won't be the same quality in the future (which is very likely)
I totally agree with Dan. Shevchenko is a great player and so is Drogba - goals come when a team works together.
