The Anaheim Ducks traded defenseman Steve Eminger to the New York Rangers on Friday for left winger Aaron Voros and minor leaguer Ryan Hillier.

The Rangers will be the sixth team in the last four seasons for Eminger, a seven-year pro. He was a disappointment in his only season with Anaheim, scoring 16 points in 63 games amid several healthy scratches.

Eminger played with the Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers before signing with the Ducks last September.

Eminger's departure leaves Lubomir Visnovsky, Sheldon Brookbank, James Wisniewski and newcomer Toni Lydman as the Ducks' only experienced NHL defensemen.

Voros scored seven points in 41 games with the Rangers last year, his third NHL campaign. New York put him on waivers last month, but he'll compete for a fourth-line spot in Anaheim after Matt Brown was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs last month.
