Marshall: last year I thought we'd be in trouble with him as our feature back. But our offense has continued to score a lot of points. He's been very solid, but average. I was surprised to learn that he has such good track times, because he seems to lack the football explosiveness of James/Barner. James and Barner would break one or more every game, but I only remember Marshall breaking one.

Awesome game today. I think this offense is much more balanced than it's been in awhile. We have the best receiving corp that we've had in a long time. We just whipped the #16 team in their house without our star player.

And if you're the other team and you see Maldanado make a FG you know you're fucked.

I thought the D did a hell of a job too. That's a hard fighting offense for the dawgs. Damn athletic.

you always push for individual stars above collective greatness

it's been pointed out by many media types following the Ducks that baring injury it's unlikely that any Duck RB is featured like LaMichael was because they're gaining such top notch guys each year. DAT, Huff, Tyner, Addison, and the rest deserve offensive touches too. This is a good problem to have and with Tony James & Freeman being added next year the RB touches will probably be even more spread out.

LMJ averaged 6.6 yards per carry for his career, while Kenyon averaged 6.2. Though it's a small sample size, Marshall is averaging 6.2 yards per run this season. 2 years ago with LaMichael Oregon averaged 322 rushing yards per game while last year they averaged 315. This year Oregon is averaging 326 yards per game on the ground. I truly fail to see what the issue is here

Saw the game at Nicoli's in Lake Oswego with friends. There were a lot of Duck fans a few Husky fans. Awesome game! Ducks looked fucking great all the way around.

Although I see Marshall as a 6-7 on a scale of 10, what I do like is his mentality. No dancing around or anything cute, pretty much north/south running. He also protects the ball. He's sort of like a timex watch. Nothing flashy but he gets the job done.
