Phil Robertson, 'Duck Dynasty' Star, Delivers Speech About Atheist Family Getting Raped And Killed

The story is meant to illustrate the importance of following God's laws, and here is Robertson's take on it:

"I'll make a bet with you. Two guys break into an atheist's home. He has a little atheist wife and two little atheist daughters. Two guys break into his home and tie him up in a chair and gag him. And then they take his two daughters in front of him and rape both of them and then shoot them and they take his wife and then decapitate her head off in front of him. And then they can look at him and say, 'Isn't it great that I don’t have to worry about being judged? Isn't it great that there's nothing wrong with this? There's no right or wrong, now is it dude?'

Then you take a sharp knife and take his manhood and hold it in front of him and say, 'Wouldn't it be something if this [sic] was something wrong with this? But you’re the one who says there is no God, there’s no right, there’s no wrong, so we’re just having fun. We're sick in the head, have a nice day.'

If it happened to them, they probably would say, 'Something about this just ain't right.'"

Never liked the show so it wouldn't be a loss for me. What is a loss is the respect that Christians receive when blow hards like this say stupid shit like this

The Duck Dynasty people should be forced to marry the Kardashians.

Haha, what he said and your average Sunday morning sermon are equally hilarious. Phil is just slightly more imaginative.

He is just a douche, as we already knew. It doesn't affect me if he has a crappy show, and acting like this isn't going to convert thinking individuals to be his way of thinking, so I really don't care. I don't watch his show, I hope others are turned off by him being an ass, but I wouldn't ban it or ask that he be censored. I watch the NFL and I know some of those guys yell racist coments, beat their kids and wives, and do all sorts of other horrible crap. I won't buy an Adrian Peterson jersey or a duck dynasty beer cozy, but it's fine if they try and sell the shit.

As far as the comment itself, unfortunately many athiests and God fearing people alike can't understand the thought process of the other group, so they turn them into a comic version of the worst they can imagine.

Yep it's really sad that there are those that actually think Christianity is based on judgement. Regardless of the general consensus, Grace is the ultimate message.

The current message that tools like this try and preach is "you are going to hell because you don't think like we do". The reality is Jesus welcomed the worst of the worst in his day and told them all that they are forgiving because of his love and sacrifice. There should be no strings attached.

Instead, it has been bastardized for groups to find ways to control through their fear or love in God.

Sorry Marz, I don't know you were such a fan of the Kardashians. I personally can't stand them but to each his own.

No offense, but you are describing the reason that the religion itself was founded. In fact, most, if not all religions.

I agree. That's why I am Christian. It isn't bound to the general rules of "religion".

Christians have enough problems with infighting in their own sects.
So much so that I had a pk tell me he thinks x just is right and all others are wrong.. That's why his beliefs are better than the other sects.
What he failed to understand, and still fails to this day(at 29 years into his life) that it says in the Bible as long as you accept Jesus into your heart you are forgiven for your sins, and will have afterlife in Gods kingdom.
(this is just one example of infighting)

It doesn't matter if the Nazarenes are more correct than the Baptists or Evangelicals etc etc.
Jesus accepted everyone, so should Christians if they're really trying to emulate him, like it says to...

Just like this pk... Phil is a typical Bible thumper that isn't worth the effort.. nothing you say or do will change his mind.

After listening to the entire talk he gave, context becomes much more clear. What becomes obvious is that his focus was on lack of societal accountability and the current trend to excuse formally unacceptable behavior. To take his poorly spoken example and as the media is doing, decry it as his fantasy desires is ridiculous. Just a stupid story used as an example.

I do not agree with everything this guy thinks, but at least I would rather know the hart of a man than have to discern truth every time his mouth opens. In short, much ado about nothing.
