DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- J.J. Redick scored 23 points, and Shelden Williams had 16 points, 14 rebounds and eight blocked shots to lift No. 2 Duke past No. 4 Wake Forest 84-72 Saturday.

Chris Duhon added eight points and 14 assists for the Blue Devils (14-1, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), who have won 11 straight overall and 36 in a row at home. The win gives the Blue Devils sole possession of first place in the league.

Justin Gray scored 18 points for the Demon Deacons (11-2, 2-1), who have lost seven straight meetings here. Eric Williams, who came in leading the team with 16 points a game, finished with just six points.

Duke has dominated Wake Forest here in recent years, winning its last six meetings by an average of 24 points a game. The Demon Deacons haven't won at Cameron Indoor Stadium since Tim Duncan led them to an 81-69 victory in January 1997.

Cameron Indoor Stadium is by far the toughest place to play in if you are an opposing team. Duke simply refuses to lose at home no matter who they face.

I stand firm on my belief that Duke is the best team in America. They have all the componets necessary to win the Big Dance in March. Today's win was absolutely huge for the Blue Devils. If anyone questioned the ability for them to win the big dance, they need to look no farther than this game to prove them. wrong.

I agree whole heartedly....their defense is top notch and this team is currently hittin' on all cylinders....Williams is a load down low..everything is comin' together for 'em to make a good run into March Madness..

I'm not really a Duke fan, but why is the Cameron Indoor Stadium is the toughest place to play on the road?

Because of the fans and the whole atmosphere of the place....the Cameron Crazies really make it hard on opposing teams..

First off Cameron Indoor Stadium is not very big by any standards. It seats a total of 9,314 people. Of those 9,314 people all of 9,250 are Duke fanatics. If you can get 100 people from the other team into that stadium you are are lucky. Cameron sells out for every single men's basketball game. Cameron is known for its "Cameron Crazies" which are the students who attend the game. These "Cameron Crazies" chant, jump, yell, scream and do everything possible for the entire 60 minute game including the half time show. Since Cameron is so small and they pack the stadium full for every game you can only imagine how hot and humid it gets in there.

That place is simply full of Duke energy and every single Duke player goes into a mindset when they play at Cameron that no matter who it is, they won't lose that game.
