Backup swingman Michael Gbinije is transferring from Duke. School officials announced Gbinije's departure Monday. The native of Chester, Va., averaged 1.7 points and 0.8 rebounds in 19 games as a freshman. His highest-scoring game came in December when he had eight points against UNC Greensboro.
