Anybody ever have one dropped off at your house to get rid of stuff? Googled some and they don't show any prices. Trying to clear out the basement and garage. ANy ideas.
A few years ago I helped my mom out with one of these, she moved from the much larger house I grew up in to a smaller place after me and my sister were out of there, but she brought everything over in the move and figured she'd just sort it out later. Cut to 5 or 6 years after the move and the old stuff in boxes plus the new shit she had accumulated was clogging up the basement, garage, and attic. So she got one of these huge dumpsters dropped off in the driveway and had my sister and I both come over, thing sat there for a week and whenever we could make time we'd just come over and start going through all the old shit and tossing whatever in the dumpster. Filled the thing 75-80% of the way to the top, and cleared a ton of room throughout the whole house. So I'd say if you'll actually do the work and toss alot of stuff it's a great way to go, but if you're just going to procrastinate or hold onto alot of stuff anyway it'd just be a waste.
Enter your zip code then hit collection fees. The bags cost ~$30 dollars at the hardware store or online.
I miss living in a college town, because anytime you'd be moving or had something big to throw away, you could just put it on your front lawn, and it'd just be gone in a matter of hours. Some other college kid would always find your trash to be their treasure. Hell, I think I've still got some endtables and stuff that I got that way...
VooDoo, I will be on Bourbon Street in about 15 hours, in case you were wondering where to find me. #tanked #jelloboobieshots
Well, if you wind up at Razzoo, my ho of an ex is a shotgirl there, and you probably have a good shot at her, as most people tend to have... Otherwise, check out Frenchmen St... that's one of the best parts of New Orleans. It's like Bourbon but with better, less flashy/touristy bars and clubs, and it's not too far from that whole Quarter area. You'll still get drunk off your ass, but with better music and people... just a better overall vibe after you've done Bourbon a few too many times...
