I wasn't sure if this was already posted. If not, check it out! It's a great article, put together by our very own Dumpy. (Courtesy of Netsdaily).

QUOTE

Originally, I had an entire intro planned for this report. It was witty, it was clever—you know, all the good things. But then the Nets were pummeled, and, because my prologue was premised on the Nets not only winning, but playing good defense, I was left in the lurch. I’ve since spent the entire day trying to figure out what to say that hasn’t been said elsewhere, by people who are much better writers than I am, and who are actually clever and witty all the time without having to work at it. I’m still clueless. Let’s get to the numbers, and maybe something will come to me by the time I have to wrap this up...

Dumpy sums it up by saying that our small lineup could be among the best in the league against other small lineups. Put them against a normal lineup, with 2 post threats, and they suck. And that Glen's real good against us, especially against our small lineups.

    I hope Frank's taking notes.

thanks, but remember it's just one game. You shouldn't take those stats and project how the nets will do for the rest of the season in such circumstances. It may well turn out that the Nets' small lineups can be productive against a pair of bigs. Maybe all it will take is a return to form by Nachbar, who was terrible on Saturday. It's interesting, though, that two bigs v two bigs, the Nets were roughly equal to the Celtics, and they were slightly better pitting a small lineup against a small lineup. It's just the start of the season, We know Krstic WILL get better, and we have hopes about Magloire, Boone, and Malik Allen.
