<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> MINNEAPOLIS ? Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett have been leaning on each other for the better part of a decade now, and their meetings continue to be entertaining.

At least for those who are watching.

"What I see is two future Hall of Famers, both of whom have a lot of pride," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "Two guys who want to win badly. They respect each other's abilities and know that they're going to be in battle every time they meet."

As they usually do, Duncan and Garnett pretty much canceled each other out Wednesday. Duncan had 24 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and five blocks. Garnett had 27, 17, seven and three.

Garnett also became the 51st player in NBA history to reach 18,000 points for his career on his biggest basket of the night. With 34.8 seconds left in the fourth, he drove for a reverse layup and a foul to stake Minnesota to a two-point lead.

"It's always a great battle," Duncan said. "He's a hell of a competitor and a hell of a player. It's always a lot of fun." </div>

I'd they are both in the top-5 greatest PFs in league history. Malone, Pettit, and Barkley being the other three.
