It turns out Duncan has a thigh bruise...altho I don't know the severity of it, it's a whole lot better than a knee injury which was what was intially reported...I figure he shouldn't be out too long (unless he heals like Shaq).... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">DALLAS -- San Antonio's Tim Duncan could be sidelined for a while after leaving Thursday night's game against Dallas with what the team is calling a bruised left thigh. Duncan appeared to be rubbing near the top of his knee, and the two-time league MVP told teammates he hurt the knee. The team, however, announced it was a thigh problem. "He's got some sort of thigh contusion," coach Gregg Popovich said. "He's probably going to miss a little bit of time." Asked how long Duncan might be out, Popovich said: "I have no clue. I have no idea. You guys are thinking I'm a doctor, a psychic and all that stuff." Duncan will be examined further Friday in San Antonio. The team plays its next four games at home, starting Saturday night against Denver.</div> Link
Its probably going to be 2+ weeks and could be 4 at the worst. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Fort Worth Star-Telegram suggests there may be more to Tim Duncan's injury than just a bruised left quad. Duncan was in pain, nursing what appeared to be a left knee injury. He and the Spurs' trainer were constantly rubbing the knee cap, and the Spurs denied the Mavs' doctor's request to take a postgame look at Duncan (which is simply protocol for the home team to offer). Until the Spurs say otherwise, however, we have to assume the report of "day-to-day with a bruised quad" is all there is.</div> So it could be only a few days but it could be much worse. gotta hope for the best.
Oh man, PERFECT time for Duncan not to play. We are in the midst of a losing streak, and it's going to be a lot easier to drive inside.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Spurs are considering placing Tim Duncan on the injured list. If they do, they will not immediately replace him on the active roster, allowing them to bring him back before the required five-game minimum. Duncan is currently day-to-day with irritation of his left patellofemoral joint, which connects his kneecap and femur. He will miss tonight's game and be re-evaluated early next week. The injury may be a result of playing nearly non-stop over the last year and a half including international play.</div> So at the best it will be one game and will probably be in the 2-4 game range if it heals right. lets hope.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">The latest reports have said he will miss likely 1 game. His injury is not as bad as first thought.</div>He was put on the injured list, so it will be at least 5 games. This is terrible for the Spurs. Link

Link</div> Thats not true, he was put on the injured list but that doesn't mean he has to be out 5 games. They say he can come off straight away, he hasn't been replaced by anyone so he can come off by the next game.

Still, it looks like it's gonna be more than one game, or am I wrong again 'bout that?
I'm guessing he will miss maybe one more game after tonight's game against the Nuggets. It's hard to tell but his injury isn't serious. Thats what the doctors have stated.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1746844 ESPN & The Associated Press say duncan will be out at least five. Now I'm confused.
