Do you think if Dun keeps playing off the bench at this rate that he will be in contention for the 6th man of the year award? I think he has really found a good role for himself and the team. He is playing pretty well and hitting some clutch shots...

Isn't Ben Gordon on the Bulls a 6th man? If so, Dunleavy has no shot unless the Bulls suck the rest of the year.

Monta or Pietrus could be stiff competition.

Hell no, this is Dunleavy we're talking about here. [IMG] He'll probably find some way to be inconsistent when it comes to shooting. Plus, it's not like he'll contribute on defense besides drawing charges. But then again, what do I know. A similar, but way better player overall was Mike Miller, the former nba rookie of the year from 2000 (I think) and last year's sixth man of the year. He's a point forward, but more athletic and quicker, but the same cerebral type swingman. He shoots wonderfully and more consistently now. He gets rebounds, assists, and he's got a nice handle. Maybe he's a little weak on D, but he won the award last year. If he was a little bit faster relative to most nba twos, he'd make a nice shooting guard.

There is no doubt, Ben Gordon is clutch and a massive producer in the 4th quarter, but you're right about the Bulls lately. Man, they are struggling.

I don't watch the Bulls much, but maybe it's because they don't have anyone inside the paint? One thing about guys like Rasheed Wallace and Mehmet Okur is despite the fact they like to shoot from outside, they can also play close to the basket if needed. If a team doesn't have that option in any of their big men, all they do is start shooting. They become guard dominated offense, only going to the big man for kick out passes on the perimeter. If they start to miss, then everyone crowds the paint and the big man stay home to stop the guards at the rim. Better hope the guards can get to the line and shoot free throws then. [IMG] Maybe the Bulls have decided to promote somebody like Andres Noccioni or PJ Brown, because didn't they bench Ben Wallace recently?

I'll have to find out. But they need somebody to get inside the paint or better yet, have two guys that can help each other out in the paint to get the rebounds.
