    Seriously... I googled it and that appears right.
    Casey won a franchise record and got fire. This had to be something like the players wanted him or something to that extent right???
    Such a weird hire...

    Nurse is credited with Toronto improving on offense and is generally regarded as one of the top assistants in the league.

    He butted heads with Casey who after many years of iso ball was forced to implement Nurse's offense this past season by the GM. There are also rumours that Casey refused to hold his veterans accountable for lapses (namely DeRozan) and was nearly fired in November after a heated argument with Ujiri. Nurse is expected to be less lenient with DeRozan.

    It was down to Nurse or Messina but the Italian has been passed over yet again. He's had so many interviews and a strong pedigree but nobody seems to want to hire him.
