<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO - Franchise center Dwight Howard threw his support behind embattled coach Brian Hill on Wednesday, saying the Orlando Magic's three-month swoon is more because of the players than anything Hill has or hasn't done.

With its 101-90 victory against Utah on Wednesday night, Orlando moved into a tie with New York and Indiana for the eighth and final playoff spot in the NBA's Eastern Conference. Despite starting the season 13-4, the Magic have lost 15 of their past 17 games on the road and are 17-32 overall since the strong start to the season.

"We've had plenty of (players) meetings and a lot is being said right now," Howard said. "The coach has done his job. The coaches have prepared us and have prepared us for what we're facing. People want to point the fingers at the coach, but it's a team effort. Coaches just coach and it's on us as players to play the games. The coaches have done all they could do preparing us for the games."

Coaches in Milwaukee (Terry Stotts), Charlotte (Bernie Bickerstaff), Minnesota (Dwane Casey) and Memphis (Mike Fratello) already have been fired this season.</div>

This is usually the kiss of death for a head coach.

Here's a quote out of the Orlando Sentinel today about what Brian Hill changed.....

"Calling fewer post up plays for Howard actually meant better ball movement and the ball still found Dwight"

What other coach thinks that taking the ball away from your superstar will help get you out of a slump? We'll see how this works out and it looked good yesterday. Although when you are playing a team that is weak defensively against bigs, you have to give Dwight the ball in the post.
