Magic center Dwight Howard says that he'll lay off referees this season. The NBA is looking to crack down on how players treat referees and Howard will adapt. Fines for technical fouls have been doubled. "I'll be fine," Howard said. "My teammates have asked me to do a better job of not getting frustrated, not showing so much frustration." Howard has been among the league-leaders in technical fouls and has earned a reputation as a whiner. Rashard Lewis said he's "a little bit" concerned about Howard, but added that Dwight did "say in the meeting that that's one thing he's working on --- leaving the refs alone.
