World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior middleweight champion Serhiy Dzinziruk (37-1, 23 KO’s) will be making a defense of his title against number #1 contender Lukas Konecny (47-3, 22 KO’s) on September 30th in Czechoslovakia. Dzinziruk, 35, hasn’t fought since losing by a 8th round TKO to Sergio Martinez last March. Dzinziruk gave it a good try but wasn’t powerful enough to compete with the hard hitting Martinez and ended up getting blasted out in the 8th.
