There wasn’t much debate about the Eagles’ secondary. It was bad last season. You could see it with the naked eye, as Jordy Nelson or Dez Bryant ran by cornerback Bradley Fletcher for a touchdown. It was quantified by the stats. The Eagles allowed 72 passes longer than 20 yards and 18 longer than 40 yards. They were the worst in the NFL in both categories.
