Since most of us hail from the Philadelphia area or follow the Eagles, I decided to make this thread. Just basically discuss games or throw out comments. Whatever. Anyways, I think they basically got womped Monday Night. Even though Trotter was out, the Falcons offense was running on them like crazy while Vick was completely killing us. I don't even want to get into how bad the Eagles offense was. It was completely out of sync, period. Which brings me to this question. How serious do you think that injury that McNabb got was? Its quite obvious he really wasn't the same after it, you can tell with all the interceptions, turnovers, and everything.

Man I hate how people living in PA are Cowboy fans that?s like living in Minnesota and saying you support the Packers. I hate those people my school divided 40% Eagles fan, 25% Steelers, 25% Cowboys, and 10% Giants. That game last night was the worst. Trotter should not have been thrown out, their is no doubt in my mind we are better than the Falcons. We made so many mistakes and still only lost by four points. We need to run the ball more 10 rushes only by Westbrook.

They need Pinkston. McNabb went to T.O too often and when he only connected with 7 of the 19 passes he threw to him. That's less than half, and that's obviously not good. But you can take away anything from Hal who did an excellent job on T.O. Btw, what's up with McNabb? He has one of the highest pass:turnover ratio's in the game but yet he turned it over 2 times. Well anyways, Vick on the other hand was a beast. The Falcons were playing with by far more energy and not to mention, Dunn absolutely killed them.

well, first of, let me tell you, after sleeping a day on the game, i came to the conclusion that yes, the eagles played horribly, and yes, the did lose.......by 4. IMO, even with a bad running game, no pinkston, turnovers by mcnabb, and labinjo playing in place of trotter, we could have won the game. think about it, what if akers connected on the 2 field goals that he took? we could have easily came out with a 2 point win. but i just think that akers had a bad game, because those field goals were definetly aker range. so if akers did have his usual game, we couldve came out on top. and also, with out trotter, a bad game by mcnabb, and a bad rushing game, the falcons only beat us by 4. IMO, if they were truely the best team in the nfc, they should have at least beat us by 7 points. but that's my opinion.

I don?t think our run game is bad it is that we do not commit to the run. Only ten rushes all game by Westbrook he had 44 yards though on those ten. We did not rush once on first downs in the fourth quarter so we were usually faced with third and long. Also B-22 he didn?t ?start? a fight in another teams house the fight was actually initiated by the guy on the Falcons Trotter did not even throw a punch just grabbed him if anything.

True, but for the most part the Atlanta defense stomped on the running game. At least most of the time, Westbrook just ran into a wall of Atlanta men. Really, running in the first or third down doesn't change that fact. And about that thing with Akers making those field goals, coulda woulda shoulda. There's tons of games in the history of sports where someone could not connect, but that doesn't mean anything. Bottom line, Eagles lost.

lol you are such an anti-Eagle, B. [IMG]

And BKS is right, Trotter didn't even hit him..he just grabbed at him..If anything Mathis was the one that actually threw the first punch.

If a real fight broke out they could throw punches, because they would not be fighting with helmets. [IMG]

    I don't get the joke...

Damn, if I was in a fight with a football player, I would keep my helmet on like it was the last in the world. But really, whats the difference between football and a fight between two people with football gear?

Here's Bill Simmon's take on the game.
    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">3. Atlanta
To recap: They're playing a revenge game at home, on a Monday night, no less ... there's a pregame fight that results in the other team's only run-stopping linebacker's getting thrown out ... the best player on the other team (McNabb) gets walloped on the first series, leading to a D-plus performance (as it turns out, he was injured seriously enough that he's questionable for Week 2) ... the opposing kicker missed two sub 50-yard field goals ... Vick connected on a touchdown bomb and evaded trouble about 10-12 other times (amazing game from him) ... T.O. looked like he was only intermittently interested in the proceedings ... and the crowd was so loud down the stretch that McNabb couldn't even call audibles. And yet, with all of that going for them, here was the final score: 14-10.

    (Translation: I wasn't impressed.)</div>
    Column

In other words, he sounds exactly like Phila.

    OMG what a game!
    35-3 and it's the 3rd quarter! McNabb has 5 TD's and 342 yards.
Im having a great weekend as yesterday there was a sporting event where I live and some top names were here.Today my friends beat field's record by scoring 27 goals in a soccer game. Now Im beating my opponent in yahoo fantasy and Eagles are winning.
Only bad thing is that Marko M?rtin (WRC driver who's from Estonia) had an accident and his map reader died. Now he could never drive again if he has those seeing problems he got.
    RIP Michael Park.

Wow. We definitely owned San Fran, everyone played flawlessly and McNabb was amazing. Everything just clicked. Granted, it was against a doormat team, I still think it shows a bit of what we are capable of.

Sorry I did not post during the game, but I was watching at my grandma?s house. What a game all I can say is E-A-G-L-E-S . Mark Simino or however you spell his last name could very well be a kicker lol. Mcnabb and TO got along great on the side lines Lamont Gordon scored a TD for us that shows we got depth in the back field. Even Koy Detmer did well. Wow just wow...
