What a way to end the series to get blown out by 40. It's quite an early exit but it's not a stranger to us chokecity fans but nevertheless it still hurts. I know a WAY to feel better. Pick another team since it's just too early to lose HOPE and end seeing the playoffs altogether. I PICK pHeonix Suns to support. A winning team for a change clap.

I think it's Heat (most probably) or Pistons VS. Suns (my pick) or Spurs. Dallas are good but I don't like their owner, or their gamesmanship (or lack thereof) from their thug players josh howard, dampier, and shawn bradley. [IMG]

I'll choose Indiana Pacers. Reggie wants a ring

I'd like Heat to win since they got Wade and Shaq along with some very good players in their lineup. Their gonna be tough to beat for sure.

Ok so I hate Cuban like we all do, but I'm still picking Dallas now that the Rockets are out. Crap owner, good bunch of players and a young coach he is doing all the right things.

I'd also like to see Reggie win a ring in his last season. It would be like poetry in motion.

I don't see the Suns winning the title. They've been great all season, but they are a high offense team. That doesn't win championships. DEFENSE does it. Look at Last years detriot, as well as the bad boys of 89-90. Look at the Bulls with Pippen and Jordan in the all-defensive teams at one point during their time in the bulls. Look at Olajuwon with Houston. Look at shaq, or fisher or kobe during the lakers dynasty. Or the Spurs with the admiral and duncan. EVERY Championship winning team can play defense. Most of them have great offense, but Detriot proves us that offense doesn't have to be high powered.

So the Suns, while having a great PG, and Marion can play defense, they still dont work well as a defense unit as a whole. They could be knocked out by the Spurs or Dallas IMO. If they make the finals, which is possible, they wll be eaten alive by Ben Wallace or Shaq.

lol It nearly makes me mad and makes me smile at the same time seeing the rockets lose AGAIN in the 1st round, similar to the way other fans were happy LA missed the playoffs.

Though i must say, losing a superstar(La/Shaq) and missing the playoffs isint nearly as bad as trading away a superstar and a very good shooter(Francis/Mobley) for another superstar scorer (Tmac) and still getting no further then you did last year and the years before that.... thats worse.

I feel bad for you guys, it was a good series.... can only get better for next year. Yao needs to step up though.

Maybe i terms of results there's no improvement. But interms of gameplay we are improving a lot. And we lost in a 7 series this season while last season the rockets were beaten badly by the lakers. So i personally see that as an improvement.

and for the team that i'll support.. It will be DETROITT BASKETBALL

I don't care who wins it now, but my guess is the Pistons will be repeating this year.

I'm pulling for the Suns. I didn't get to watch a lot of Mavs' games this season until this series. I now hate them with all their flopping and dirty play (Howard). I also don't like the Piston simply becuase they come across so arrogant to me but that has always been my perception of them.

I can't help rooting for the Spurs as my #2 team. They've got more class than most groups of 4 or 5 teams put together would. As far as on the court goes, I don't see anybody in the Western Conference beating them. I can't say much about Miami and Detroit, though. All I know about the Heat is Shaq and that's a BIG word. Detroit also puzzles me because they won it all last year and I hardly knew they existed until they started sticking it to the Lakers (can't help loving them for that, though). So, it's gotta be either the Spurs or one of those 2 foreign teams. [IMG]

    I pick the Rockets!

    Next year.....

but for now I gotta go with the Suns. I wonna see how far they can take their running offense. And if they beat the Mavs that'll just be a bonus. [IMG]

dude... it's mavs all the way, Cuban will feed Stern and the NBA all kinda "bad call" tape (and cash to the refs) so they can win the whole thing [IMG]

I used to like the MAVS, but with Cuban as the owner, I'm ashamed to do so.

Don't take the loss to hard on ur self man. Pick another team..it will make u feel better. pickng houston will hurt ur heart every year..since in recent years we've got knocked out 1st round and then also not made playoffs. That'll b bad for u and ur gna b like a hermit in ur lil apartment all sad and everything. Support pheonix , they play great basketball and u won't EVER HAVE to SCREAM to them TO "MAKE THE DAMN BASKET" because they're scoring 120 a game. [IMG]
