<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I have a plan for myself," Ebi said moments later. "I may seem quiet now, but I have a plan. I'm working. I'm polishing my game, so when I get out there, by the grace of God, I'll be ready to play." "He is more polished," said Kevin McHale, the Wolves' vice president of basketball operations and Ebi's up-close-and-personal trainer for much of the regular season. "I think he's got a lot of stuff he still needs to work on," McHale continued. "But the kid is a competitor, that will carry him a long way." "It came from watching my parents," Ebi said. "My mother got up at 5:30 to go to work, I woke up at 5:30 to work on my game. When my parents slept, I slept. When they didn't sleep, I didn't sleep. I took that work ethic with me to basketball." "He was able to assess his game," McHale said. "He looked at it, real honestly and saw the areas he needed to work on. He learned he was a long way away from playing, at a high NBA level, with a playoff team." "The kid put in his time," McHale said. "No matter how hard you pushed him -- and I pushed him, now -- he never came close to quitting." "I think he understands the game a lot more," said Joe Abunassar, director of the academy. "He was able to watch Kevin Garnett play, the way the team played. He has cleaned his game up. One thing you can say about Ndudi is that he's a tireless worker. You work him out for five hours, he'll put two extra in. ... He has tremendous focus. I work with a lot of players. There are guys who don't get it, guys who do. You can put Ndudi in that second group." Ebi has worked to get heavier and stronger, and he's making progress. He has worked on his shot and how to create it at an NBA level, and how to change direction with the ball. "I just want to have constant daily learning, daily improvement," he said.</div> Link
Sounds interesting, he spent alot of time just watching & soaking everything up last year. And it sees like he learned alot of things, that will help him become better when his time comes. His minutes may slightly increase next year(seening that he spent most of the year on IR) but I doubt that he will be ready for a major role next year on a team that expected to compete for a championship. I think his break out season will come in 2005-2006, when the wolves will probably begin to start going in a younger direction.
If you're playing with KG, you should learn a lot. It's good to know that he has the determination to go with it.
I've been following Ebi since the day he was drafted he's my boy, this guy takes a bit of the court when he leaves and leaves a bit of him on the court. He is going to be a great player a superstar in this league and playing and learning from KG is only going to help.
What I like about Ebi is his work ethic. He wants to improve his game and works very hard on it. He works and works on it, I would like to see more players like this. Not only playing with KG will help his game, Kevin McHale will also help him on his game. He has a bright futur.
Bright future, fo sure. He can be another KG I mean he can learn everything from him. What more can a player ask? I hope hes as good as he says he is.
Sign him! Now! Forever! Lifetime deal! Could you imagine two KGs on one team!
