QUOTE

It's the dog days of the off-season. Ira Winderman, the nationally syndicated basketball writer for the Sun-Sentinel in South Florida, has decided to draw up position-by-position rankings for the Eastern Conference. As can be expected, the Big Three are ranked highly: Jason Kidd at #2, Vince Carter at #3 and Richard Jefferson at #6. Upfront, things drop off: Nenad Krstic is ranked #10 and Jamaal Magloire, assuming he starts at center, can found all the way down at #14.

http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_basketball_heat/

Joe Johnson ahead of Vince?
Arenas the better point guard then Kidd?
Damn, Magloire is also way too low on this list.

Arenas is a better SG than Kidd, but I don't know about PG.
I wouldn't rank Igoudala ahead of Jefferson either.

QUOTE (Legacy)

This list is full of bullshit and I really hope we prove these so called experts wrong this year.
I really don't care about these kinds of lists anymore. It's all about winning games and getting as far in the playoffs as possible. Kidd could be the 15th person on that list, but by the end of the day, he'll prove to be #1, just by playing.

Remember, Kidd was the worst player on the America's Cup team. He only scored two points a game! Maybe he's taking that into account.

The JBB Nets forum went crazy.

QUOTE (Dumpy)

Remember, Kidd was the worst player on the America's Cup team. He only scored two points a game! Maybe he's taking that into account.

Ummm...1) Kidd was only shooting one or two shots a game. 2) Kidd played less than 20 minutes per games. 3) Look at his assists and other stats. It is difficult to say what the writer was taking into account. Point guards should not always be rated on how well they can score. It is more valuable if they have low turnovers, high assists, high steals, and most importantly team wins.

Otherwise this might mean something.
I'm with you, but good luck telling that to the national media (Hi Skip Bayless, Hi NBC, Hi ABC's nationally televised schedule)
