The Los Angeles interviewer was racing at 60 mph until Davis made him switch to Blazer talk. Then the interview stalled.

We haven't talked about him, but we will because he'll get big minutes.

Oh dear. I hope that really isn't Stotts' strategy for winning. Sounds like a good strategy for a top lottery pick though.

I just hope Davis knows how to set strong picks for Dame and CJ. If he does then he could be a very happy guy.

Seriously. If that's our two minute offense, Dame will be triple teamed while his toddler teammates stand around and watch, expecting him to pull out a miracle.

I'm pretty sure CJ, Plumlee, and Henderson won't see it the same way, though.

I think Ed Davis is going to be this generation's Kenny Carr, though perhaps less surly. He looks like a 10/10 guy who will do the dirty work and make the opposition think twice about messing with his crew. At least I hope so. Every good team needs a Luke/Kermit/Kenny, small ball be damned....

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing him show some of his pedigree. His dad was pretty tough.

Rich man's Hickson? When I saw he put up a 20.0 PER on a 21-win team, that was my first thought. Then I remembered Davis actually seems to care about defense, or at the very least, acknowledges its existence.

    Good idea! Bring Back Hickson!

He'd be our 2nd-best player after Lillard...now that we have no Aldridge parasite requiring centers to perform PF duties.

Speaking of the Lakers, what was it like to play for that franchise and what was it like to play with Kobe Bryant? Obviously he was injured for most of the season, but what was it like being a part of the Lakers when he was around?

I enjoyed my time here in L.A. I learned a lot, and the opportunity to get minutes, especially in Memphis after not playing many minutes, I got the opportunity with the Lakers and Coach Scott and the staff. And playing with Kobe, it was great. I enjoyed playing with him just because he attracts so much attention in how teams guard him — guys would leave me and I’d get wide-open dunks. I definitely enjoyed playing with Kobe, and just watching him and learning from him. Watching his work ethic and how seriously he takes the game, it’s like a whole different level — his mindset, things like that. I just learned a lot.

Have we also given up requiring players to play defense? If so, Hickson would be the perfect signing.

You haven't signed on to The Tank? I thought I was the only one here who thinks we'll finish in the respectable .400s (33-40 wins).
