<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Former Houston Rocket Eddie Griffin will spend 15 days in jail after a judge found Wednesday that he violated his probation by being in a nightclub parking lot. Griffin, 23, was sentenced to 18 months' probation after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of deadly conduct in March 2004. He originally faced a felony charge of aggravated assault after an October 2003 incident in which he was accused of punching and shooting at a woman who found him in bed with another woman at his southwest Houston mansion. State District Judge Mike Anderson ordered Griffin to attend outpatient treatment for alcohol abuse, pay a $2,000 fine and avoid places of "disreputable character" as part of his probation. Recently, however, police listed Griffin, who played for the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, as a witness to a crime in the parking lot of the Roxy club, according to his attorneys Rusty Hardin and Derek Hollingsworth.</div> Source

Um.. let's see. It's Eddie Griffin. He doens' tlisten, he loves the ladies. Can't keep away from night clubs... where all the ladies are. I wonder if the T-Wolves will trade him now, so they can get the bad names off of their team.
No. If Eddie Griffin played hockey, this story wouldn't have even made the news. NBA players make the news more than any other sport, I guess they make better stories.

Not many know who Griffin is, outside of big NBA fans, so it's not that big of a deal. Bigger players have done worse than this, and its been more or less forgotten in a few months. Plus, it seems to me like he has more of a problem making bad decisions, than being a "bad guy", and while that could be a problem in the future, it hasn't costed the team much now.
