Another Wolves big man was hurt when Eddie Griffin went down because of a turned left ankle in the first quarter.

Griffin had the ankle retaped. He didn't play in the second quarter, then played just four more minutes in the second half before being removed for good.

    He will be re-evaluated today.</div>

The article talks about Kandi finally having a good game against the Celtics, but then was benched in the final quarter.

Also Fred Hoiberg finds out if he will be invited to the 3pt Shootout.

One of the few good things to happen to Minnesota this season, Eddie Griffin. KG calls him a gift from God...seems like he has been, as he has been a solid contributer. If he wasn't on the team, who knows how bad they would be in the West. Hopefully he'll be back soon.

This is when somebody like John Thomas can step up and make the best out of this opportunity. Eddie G going down means more minutes for him, seeing as JT's minutes in the rotation were extremely inconsistent. But if he can step in and rebound the basketball, something that the Wolves are in desperate need of then he could find a serious role in the rotation. So right now I would look at this as an opportunity for Thomas because honestly Eddie Griffen has been struggling hard for the last month or two, no inside baskets just launching from the outside. And with Cassell, Sprewell, Wally & even KG doing that, the Wolves need someone who will be stationjary around the basket, get some offensive rebounds, matter a fact rebounds period because they stink on the defensive boards too.

Hopefully it isn't that long. I doubt it will be if he was back in the 2nd half. He has been a blessing in disguise for them all year. All he needed was for the right crew to get his head straight, it looks like KG helped him with that.

This is more bad news for the Timberwolves. As Henacy said Thomas this when he can step up and prove himself. But the whole team has to step up also. They have no excuses for losing. With Olowokandi's latest performance, it looks like he might be able to help but we will still have to see. The team have to rebound the ball better because they've just been outrebounded in each game since this losing stretch.
