As u all already know Jones is bigtime trade bait. Eddie is one of my favourite players. He is one of the top defenders in the league, and is a consistent 2 guard unlike Mo Pete. What do u guys think of this trade scenario? To Heat-MoPete,JYD,Jefferies,Hakeem,2rnd pick To Raps-EJones,RButler or John Wallace C-Moiso PF-Davis SF-Carter SG-Jones PG-Williams
I Think we would have to trade Davis to Miami or else we would have three max contracts. And they would nt use Mo Pete. How about Davis, Bradley, Jeffries for Jones R. Butler?
unless we also add in montross i would not make that trade. e jones is a great player but he makes too much money.

Jones is the missing piece to the puzzle! With all the BS signings (except Moiso) GG better have atleast one more trick up his sleeve.
I doubt that will happen, Jones has a killer contract, even with all those people going, I doubt we could still afford him. Jones makes more than 12 million each year 'till 2007.
We could affrord him if we traded them Davis and JYD. They have cap space so the salaries do not have to be excact. We could dump Hakeem and Montross. I would want Jones.

our cap space would be totally full if we get jones. the deal might look good now but in many years to come this would be horrible. just look at what happened with the hakeem signing; everybody was happy to get him but after one season every1 says it was a bad signing
But if we got him we would get rid of Davis who makes almost as much. Who cares about Cap The Raptors cant get very good players to sign without overpaying them Jones is a better player than Davis. Give them JYD to that would help the cap if you like that.

Then in the future we could sign FAs and Draft Picks, etc.

Another thing I might add is that Miami is looking to get rid of Jones for cap reasons, why would they trade him for just as much cap? (jyd, AD). If Jones is leaving it would be for players with less salary.
AD's contract is shorter. JYD is much less. Its not just the contract its because Wade and Butler and Maybe Odom.
