I think there are going to be rioting in the streets. Might be wrong, but I doubt it.

    Looting?

    Cars on fire?

    Shootings?

Maybe in LA, cause you guys like to riot.
But I don't see why there would be riots.

There weren't any riots in 2000, and that was the craziest election any of us will likely live to see.

It would have to take election fraud on a massive scale for there to be rioting. I just don't see it happening.

Actually there were riots in 2000 -- riots by Republican campaign operatives flown into Florida to impersonate enraged citizens in order to shut down vote recounts.

I hope the police are prepared in case they try to do the same thing again this time :)

“If [Obama] is elected, like with sports championships, people may go out and riot,” Bob Parks, an online columnist and black Republican candidate for state representative in Massachusetts, told The Hill. “If Barack Obama loses there will be another large group of people who will assume the election was stolen from him….. This will be an opportunity for people who want to commit mischief.”

So either way, win or lose, it's Obama's fault if there are riots.

    Hilarious.

"Some worry that if Barack Obama loses and there is suspicion of foul play in the election, violence could ensue in cities with large black populations," The Hill writes. Detroit, Chicago, Oakland and Philadelphia are among the cities that plan to have extra police deployed.

Only a racist would have this POV.

The majority of Obama supporters are lily-white, middle-class or working-class voters.

Yes. Only a racist... better pull back all the police and just assume the african americans won't riot. There has been a history between blacks and rioting in this country. Its just an excuse to go out and loot for some people, especially in poorer and urban communities...many of these are black neighborhoods.

of course you can just ignore it all and listen to John Lennon records.

Some people will just riot just to riot...whether Obama wins or loses. Not saying its going to happen, but its certainly a possibility. doubt some white, "middle america" community really needs to worry.

I think--given the polling numbers--if McCain somehow manages to win the Presidency, there will be riots. It won't be Obama's fault, but there are going to be a lot of people who will believe the election was stolen.

Which riot are you referring to? The Watts riots where their civil liberties were getting shit on or the Rodney King riots where their race was getting shit on?
