    Let's go Bruins!

Right now UCLA is getting caught up in Kansas tempo. Collison needs to slow the game down and turn this into UCLA grind it out basketball.

I really like that trap UCLA uses on guards. Kansas even did it to them. You really do gain an appreciation for these teams' defenses in this game, because there are so many offensive weapons on both teams.

Bruins lead 35-31 heading into the half.

Amazing basketball in the first half by both teams. Why can't teams in the NBA play with this type of defensive intensity?

Because the NBA is stricter with fouls.

^ [IMG] they're not more strict with fouls, it's just that if you touch a superstar, there's a whistle.

Most NBA players get paid no matter how well they play defensively. College players don't. So they know they have to do everything possible to defend and win the game, as that is their only reward. Most NBA players get paid to score and look good doing it, not play defense.

You can go ahead and tell me what a pessimistic view that is, but watch the effort level on defense in the next NBA game you watch, and tell me I'm wrong. When NBAers want to defend, they can. Many of them just don't care that much about it.

It is MUCH easier to get a foul in the NBA than in college ball..you have some points about the NBA players vs. College players...but look at the good defensive players in the NBA 4 fouls by the second quarter.

Collison needs to stop dribbling into the second line of defense and getting stripped from the back. If you beat your defender do something smart with the ball. Jesus.

Strong start to the second half from UCLA, who are now up 46 - 35.

This 2nd half has been just as good as the first. Big plays and big shots everywhere [IMG]
