Robert Horry got suspended for 2 games for his HARD (not cheap, not dirty) foul on Steve Nash. He received a flagrant 2 and was ejected from the game.

Bruce Bowen cleared some room with his leg when Nash was all over him. He was called for a foul and later told Nash it was NOT intentional.

Bruce Bowen's weird clip of Amare's foot was reviewed by the league. While it looked strange, no one was hurt and it was not dirty.

Manu Ginobili went up for a fucking layup and Amare Stoudamire was in the way. He got kneed in the nuts. BFD, it wasn't a foul on Manu and it wasn't dirty.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !! Spurs fans, (and you know who you are) if Robert Horry's late game foul was such a traumatic shot to the image of your team and you feel embarassed then just go the **** away. In fact, go root for the Suns. Do away with your shirts, flags, hats etc. Delete your Spurs desktop images and so forth.

I'm so sick of hearing about this bullshit. Once and for all, the Spurs don't control the league office. This is our team and we have Nothing to be embarassed about. Every player in the league knows the rules about leaving the bench. I have no apologies for anyone. I thought Nash played the foul up along with taking the shot.

If it makes you feel any better, the Spurs were picked by alot of people to win it all. So if, we are fortunate to get another Championship, I won't be shedding a tear about Phoenix's bad breaks or placing an asterisk by the 2007 trophy. I got no sympathy for the Suns.

We were victims of this mess too. I don't think anyone should have been suspended but I'm not going to cry like a little girl and I'm certainly not going to call a radio station or post an e-mail message on a Suns board making some whiny "I feel your pain" and "I'm ashamed" thread.

    **** that. GO SPURS !!

look at bowen's past..he's been injuring players like no tmrw..and i bet you that if he was on another team and did the **** hes doing now on Duncan you would oppose him too..

spurs have been nothing but dirty this whole series..atleast play the game fairly..why is amare getting mad? n as you say "cheap-fouling?" because of the **** you guys have been doing in games 1 and 2.

and dont even say Horry's foul was not dirty..he pushed him to the table!!
i cant believe Amare n Diaw got suspended..those guys were just coming to check up on their team-mates..people should just email stern n tell him abt what an asshole he is..

If the spurs win this series..i'm not going to watch the finals n watch a dirty-ass team play

Someone please give me a list of all the players Bowen has hurt over the years please? The only ones who come to mind are Carter and that guy in toronto and both still have careers ahead of them. And how many people has he hurt in this series again? Oh that's right......ZERO! Ginobili ALMOST LOST AN EYE FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! Where's all the "Marion is a dirty piece of s***" talk? A gouged out eye woulda been a bit harder to overcome than a tweaked ankle. If people think the spurs are dirty then what does that say about the overall toughness of the league this day and age?

Seen it. I wanted a LIST of players that have actually been injured by Bowen not freaked out by him. While we're at it, how many people has he knocked out cold or how many bone breaks has he caused? So far I can think of 3 guys that were at least hurting after one of his plays but I'm not even sure if they were out for the game. And a shot to the twins doesn't count since that seems to happen a little too often in any contact sport. Duncan got hit pretty bad in 2005 by one of the Suns and I know Ginobili and Parker took a little shot in the nads at least once this series.

So basically because Bowen has only injured a few people with his dirty tricks, it's okay? Man, talk about being a head in the sand apologist.

the fact that he doesnt injure them is what makes him so cowardly, the guy is a rat and a discrace to the game of basketball. the fact that some of you spurs fans actually stand up for him is unbeleivable.

spurs are a great team, they have a fantastic system and a coach who knows his stuff, they have maybe the best PF in the game and a group of fantastic gaurds who a difficult to defend because of their quickness.

but it doesnt mean that they're not rats, they get away with it because people have respect for them. i suspect that popovic encoureges this kind of behaviour because it seems to get them some wins. spurs are a cowardly team. but they arent the only ones. remember raja clotheslining kobe, what a dirty fukin rat, and the fact that his teammates encouraged it is dirty of them. im sure every team in the nba has a group of dirty rats on their team who pick at players jerseys and poke at them and do little rat shiz like bowen, so to single out just bowen is silly because there is probobly more players who do exactly the same shiz.

None of that excuses bowen and find me one current player who's injured as many players as bowen has based on the chickenshit defensive style they use.

worldchamps9903 is sticking up for his team, I respect that. If the Spurs* win the 2007 Championship* I hope you enjoy it without the guilt of your team having to attempt to injure certain players and the NBA unfairly suspending 2 Suns for something 2 Spurs did earlier in the game.

As for MUman's list, I fortunately haven't watched Bowen's assault on the NBA, but I do recall him injuring Steve Francis' ankle rather badly, am I wrong Knicks fans? There are probably others, but does there really have to be a list? Isn't injuring one player with a dirty play and attempting to injure many others enough? You only have to kill one person to be a murderer, and you only have to attempt it once for it to be a crime.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bruce Bowen's weird clip of Amare's foot was reviewed by the league. While it looked strange, no one was hurt and it was not dirty</div>
That play wasn't reviewed by the NBA, the knee to Nash's twig and berries was reviewed, but not the attempt to break Amare's ankle.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Where's all the "Marion is a dirty piece of s***" talk?</div>
Marion doesn't have the history that Bowen has, nor in anybody's mind was that on purpose. Look at Bowen's foot reach out and try to kick Amare's foot out so he'd land awkward (thus breaking his ankle) it was obviously intentional. I will even believe the "trying to clear space" story and let it go, even though nobody believed Amare's "trying to check in" story, but that knee was such a big story because of his previous attempt at Amare. Maybe if Bowen wasn't going after everybody's ankle the past few years, that knee would've been ignored like Manu's eye.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">what does that say about the overall toughness of the league this day and age</div>
To me it says there is no place for injuring players on purpose, fans pay a lot of money to see their favorite players play basketball, not dirty thugs attack star players. In that case the Knicks should've won 6 Championships in the 90s by having Starks and Oakley go after Jordan's ankles, then once Jordan was down Pippen would be suspended for standing up. But they didn't, because even in those "rough and tough" days of the NBA, they still had the moral sense to not intentionally injure a fellow player.

Thank you. There is no list. The list of videos are mostly nothing. All Bowen is is crafty. If you think Kobe doesn't get just as crafty with his elbows, then you are nuts. But people won't rip him cause he's Kobe, he's a stylish player. Bowen is a nuts and bolts player so people get irate.

Wtf do you guys need a list for? He's injured Carter, Francis, Crawford etc. It doesn't matter that they wern't out for a very long period of time, it's still a dirty play.

Sticking your foot under someone's ankle while they're shooting a jumpshot is crafty? Kicking someone in the nuts is crafty? Kicking someone while their in the air is crafty? Kicking a person when their down in their back is crafty?

    Shall I go on?

BTW, while your at it, explain to me why those video's are 'mostly nothing'.

LOL at you needing a list. He's crafty? Are you guys so far up your teams ass that you fail to realize that someone sticking thier god damn FOOT under a jumping player is DIRTY, and nothing else?

Next time you play basketball against someone, how about you try sticking your foot under them and when they land on your foot and shatter thier ankle, let's see how they react, hmm? I'm sure they'll think it's quite crafty too.

Oh, and kicking Ray Allen in the back is quite crafty as well, I assume. Kneeing Nash is quite crafty...kicking Wally is quite crafty...all this craftyness and yet he's still being called dirty!??! Shocking!

I didn't see your post while I was typing up mine, but yeah that's pretty much what I wanted to write as well.

I pray for the day that an NBA player punches Bowen in the face. Actually, you know what'd really be fair? A player should stick thier foot under Bowen while he's taking one of his threes, and let's see how Bowen likes it.

Bruce Bowen is as dirty as an oily rag soaked in garbage water.

And on top of it, he doesn't even cop to it. Bill Laimbeer he no pretentions about being a dirty SOB. When Bowen trips somebody, he throws his hands up with the most disingenuous look of innocence you'll find in the NBA. It's infuriating. I look forward to when the Spurs no longer have Bowen or Ginobili, so they just be a basketball team again.

This was a hell of a series. By far the best of the playoffs if you're talking playing physical. Both these teams played hard and I really believe the suspensions weren't necessary. This is playoff basketball, you see a lot of physical contact. When Horry bumbed Nash, they shouldn't have suspended 3 players, it wasn't all necessary. But overall, I loved the physical play from both teams. I like the little rivalry. Best of luck to San Antonio.
