RB Eric Shelton, the 2nd round pick of the panthers was put on IR. He broke his foot on a huge hit from pittsburgh. Then he came back a ran for 15 on 3 carries, but had severe pain in the morining and had a MRI on his foot and they determined it was broken. Instead of waiting till Novemeber or December to get him back, because Rod "He hate me" smart and Jamal Robertson looked so great in the preseason and they already had Stephen Davis, Deshaun Foster, and Nick Goings they put Shelton on IR, instead of cutting Smart or Robertson
yeah, i saw that...it looked like he wasn't doing too well anyway...i read that even if he mad the team, he might have been inactive for most of the season...there were a lot of statements about the fact that he was missing some blocking schemes in the passing game...they probably didn't want to cut him and give another team the opportunity to pick him up, so they most likely decided to give him a year to look at the playbook and learn how to protect his qb by putting him on IR...
Hopefully our rookies get straight because our 3rd round pick Ellison didnt even make the team and is on the practice squad. The only really good rookies ive seen is Davis and Lefors. But Mathis is looking better
