September MWC Defensive player of the month

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>This year he very well could be on his way to first-team all-America status. He's currently second in the nation in interceptions with five, an average of one per game.

Two weeks ago after almost single-handedly defeating San Diego State with three interceptions, including two for touchdowns and running for another from the quarterback position, Weddle earned National Player of the Week honors. Then last week, while the Utes were getting blasted by Boise State, Weddle was one of the few Ute bright spots with two more interceptions.</div>
Weddle has excelled at both safety positions, CB, & punt returner. He has spent some time on offense this year. This guy should find a spot in the NFL. If nothing else as a high intensity special teams ace.

I definitely have him on my radar. 5 ints and 2 tds this season. He definitely could be an All-American. This is really a loaded CB class for this coming draft.

I don't know if Weddle would be a CB in the NFL; Safety IMO like Bob Sanders w/ the Colts.

He's got much more speed in my opinon as compared to Bob Sanders. I think his hips are fluid enough to be a CB at the next level as well. But he probably could play safety well too ala Jason Allen and Donte Whitner in last year's class.
