    Friday the 13th certainly proved to be unlucky for the Trenton Steel in their bid to take over first place in the Northeast Division standings of the Southern Indoor Football League.

    Forced to play short-handed on defense after two of their top players left the team and four others couldn’t make the trip across Pennsylvania because of work commitments, Trenton saw its 5-game win streak snapped as the Erie Explosion exploded offensively for a 90-79 win at Tujlio Arena.

    The loss dropped Trenton’s record to 5-4, ending a win steak that began here six weeks ago with a last-second 65-62 win over Erie.
