It seems that IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah wasn’t the second choice for WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (25-1, 17 KO’s) after WBC/WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (27-0, 11 KO’s) turned down the July 23 date to fight Khan. Instead of going after the more relevant bout against the still in his prime Judah, Khan and Golden Boy Promotions, Khan’s promoter, tried to get a fight with fading star Erik Morales (51-7, 35 KO’s), but Morales reportedly turned down a big $1.5 million offer to fight Khan, according to boxing news from Dan Rafael at ESPN.
