    Colton is a tough greaser town at the intersection of the railroad tracks. You survive in high school by hunkering down for 4 years and becoming invisible like you're in prison. A stranger trying to fight you is quite typical. I arrived in the Northwest in 1974 and thought it was paradise compared to Colton.
